Intensive Outpatient:
Patients for whom outpatient treatment is ineffective may benefit from the increased structure provided by Day Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs, or Intensive Outpatient Programs. Generally these programs include treatment visits that last from 3-to-10 hours several days each week and provide the opportunity for structured eating sessions as well as group and individual therapy, family therapy, and other interventions. Structured outpatient treatments allow patients to live at home when they are not participating in a treatment session, and possibly to continue work or school activities.
